Watch for the signs because she is not on her original place but one farm north on the same road.

I am on the lookout for a nice gentle hen to add to my 4 Australorp/Wyandotte crosses. I have room for one more without overcrowding my coop and although my "pasty butt" is doing great right now, I don't want to be down to 3 girls if I lose her. (thinking ahead to winter. I have a nice sized coop for 4/5 birds and don't want it too empty)

Eeeewww! So my horse is here and I decided to see if he liked water so I brought him down to the river. He didn't hesitate to jump in. Its only about 8 inches deep where I brought him. He was acting like a dork, pawing and the ground and sticking his face in. I'm not sure what it means when they do that. But he seemed to be enjoying himself.

My appaloosa used to do that the first time in the spring he could get to big pond that would form in the field only thing is the idiot would fall down and try to roll over!

Spent part of the afternoon with FM and her boys floating around in Spencer Lake.... then came home to nap.... or try to. I should still be sleeping but it is difficult when it is so hot, and you are not tired.....

Had the ducks out this afternoon for a few hours, now the little ones are just pooped! They are all huddled together in a corner of the pen passed out!

DH and the kids will be back soon, supposedly in the next 20 min or so.

Frenchie I hope those people get a grain of intelligence and let you take that poor animal. I'm in if anyone would like him to disappear...... and who said you have to have the horse trailer right there? Have it a few miles down the road....

There's a gal in my neck of the woods who has a great horse set-up. Her horse passed away a year or so ago. When last we spoke she didn't know if she'd be getting another one. She's a spry retiree and I could see if she'd have any interest in learning more about this fella, FT. Let me know what you think.

Its my parrotlet's first birthday today. The kids sang happy birthday to Coco this morning and gave him some treats. He sure is loved. And why do these Freedom Rangers have to be so cute and friendly? It makes me feel a little guilty about butchering them. They were all off in the woods foraging today. Hopefully none of them are missing when its time to lock up tonight.

I declare war on every coon that visits my property! My first defense is a secure building, but they always seem to find a way. My poor chickens are in really random high spots in the coop. And why cant the coon pick out a rooster?

I am going to guarantee at least 2 coon tomorrow morning if the rain holds off for a couple hours past dark.
