Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

There is no possible way for a coon to get in my coop. A bear could probably pull the door off, otherwise it's predator proof. I have a soft spot for coons because we used to take orphans in and raise them when I was a kid. They are going to eat where there's an opportunity just like everything else.
Well I certainly hope you never have a bear problem on your property then.

On our 2.5 acres we have seen all sorts of predators/nuisance animals: raccoon, skunk, weasels, woodchucks, gophers, rabbits, coyotes, wolves and bears. We do not have any woods here and am surrounded by farms/crop land. As a landowner I don't need a small game licence to kill most of those on my own land. I see myself as the larger predator and they as the prey, just as they see my animals/garden as prey. Eliminating them when needed keeps the populations in balance. Most years we have an owl that comes and takes care of the problems for us. Unfortunately this year the owl hasn't been around, and as a result the rabbit population here has exploded. So we are trapping them (live trap) then harvesting them the keep the numbers down. We've been lucky to not have any coons visit that we know of yet. If that does happen we will surely be trapping them as well. I don't live in a remote wooded area where I'm imposing on their territory (I'm only 1/4 of a mile off of Hwy 29) but I don't live in town either. I know these animals will be around from time to time and if they leave me and mine alone we will do the same for them.

So the next time I've got something in my trap what's your address?? I'll come drop them off and you can take care of them for me!

Does anyone happen to know a person that's selling day old chicks that I could get in the next day or two? My fuzzy butt needs a companion ASAP.

Cind, so sorry to hear about Natas & the fish. I hope she shows up for you real soon. And be careful when you're outside. Make sure you always have a phone with you.

Sorry to hear about those getting hit with the storms. I hope noone is without power anymore. This has got to be the absolute worst weather to be without power in.

Tom, you are a true American. You have my utmost respect. Thank you. Even though I still want that box..............

Vicki, sorry about the hijacking.

Alright beyotch...

Public relations (PR) is the practice of managing the flow of information between an individual or an organization and the public.[1] Public relations provides an organization or individual exposure to their audiences using topics of public interest and news items that do not require direct payment.[2] The aim of public relations by a company often is to persuade the public, investors, partners, employees, and other stakeholders to maintain a certain point of view about it, its leadership, products, or of political decisions. Common activities include speaking at conferences, winning industry awards, working with the press, and employee communication.[3]

I wasn't required to be nice to people. Hence I kicked butt in my major...:p

Also you need to be a word smith and bullsh!tter to make people see what you WANT them to see. We can't all rely on our good looks and tiny @sses to get through life. SNOT...:p :p :p

Dan, you know her .. she brought her daughter and 3 of the nicest boys I have met in a coon's age.. speaking of coons,, remove the food supply and let the neighbors deal with the coons.. each person must deal with the problem as they see fit.. Hot evening everyone!
One more day and supposedly there is a cool down coming. Tomorrow night...and we are supposed to get rain..... I won't believe it until the ground is wet though!

Ran errands today. Got the provisions early and off loaded them. Then I went back into town and stopped by Maynards. I got the Girls a window fan that does not do much but I also also got them a industrial fan. That does wonders! I turned that puppy on the they all hung out infront of it and managed not to blow away! I also put frozen water bottles in with them and some of the Girls sat by them! Even Buzzy figured it out!

Then off to F&F to get a rabbit water bottle and I also got a frame kit and dropping pan for Kiwi's cage. He needed more room then the cage he was in. He is much happier!

After that, it was over to Mounds Pet Food for some bunny hay and treats. Then the final stop was to Petco to get a specific type of litter for Dimitri's cage pan. Long story as to why his cage gets special litter! LOL! Anyway, I got the deal of the century on it. It normally is $9.99 for a smallish size bag and because they are discontinuing that particular type it as get this...$1! Yes ONE DOLLAR!! So I got all three that they had. They also had much larger bags. I asked if those where on special too and they were, So I bought the three they had. The original price was $26.99. The sale price was $3....Yes THREE DOLLARS!! Whooo Yhoooo!! So I have litter to last Dimitri all summer! He will be all lavendar fresh bunny!!!

Well, I brought in Ben and gave the Buns their treats and hay and they were very happy. I think they like the basement. They get a boat load of treats!!

Well, hope you all ate staying cool!
Later
