Hey all...
been a busy couple of days, garden needed picking and packing did 14 quarts of beans the last 2 days, took my doggy to the vet today, long visit, first thing they checked for was Lyme..... I told him not possible my boxer is out long enough to pee, and he runs back to the door, he is not an outside dog, plus I have never picked a tick off him in 10 years......... well he didn't listen charged me 40 for a test that was neg. but it also checks several other diseases and heart worm so those were ruled out as well so then he pulled a blood panel , and found an unidentified infection, more blood work, found the infection in his liver............. why ??no idea from the vet........ hepatitis?? I find it unlikely My guess is cancer is somewhere, pancreas, bile ducts, his crypt organ? somewhere, his bilirubin was 2400, suppose to be 150............... so not good, they gave him a shot of steroid, and some antibiotics, the cheap ones Amoxi, that should have cost 10 bucks was 30 and the total bill so far 196.00, almost every penny I had......... good grief....... why is it things seem to go down hill when your trying to live on nothing as it is, so no groceries this week no gas..... good thing Jims Tractor won't be ready, cuz not sure how I would get gas to get there................ such is life, throw another chocolate at me Forrest HUH, ....I want a different kind this time. That one left a bad taste in my mouth..........

Well I missed a lot here and I did read it all, but for the life of me I can only remember Jims posts, about the tractor, the cool colors, the clutch, BTW Adam figured it was somewhere in the linkage, he was looking up stuff the last couple days when I didn't need his help. Let us know when a good weekend is, we were looking forward to this coming weekend, but guess it just wasn't meant to be. Between crank turn and our usual unluck with the little money we have........... argggghhhhh sometimes life is not so nice. Thank god for all of you and this forum, or I'd go crazy.

hey everybody, sounds like there have been some ups and downs around here lately. Sorry to read about the loses, but the wins are that much sweeter to an optimist! It is hatch day around here and I am hatching out some Texas A&M's and some Jumbo Browns. Thanks TO I really needed another poultry addiction! I know I contacted you! In reality a friend (same friend you met TO) bought these eggs. Pretty good hatch so far, I have counted 80 so far and I think we were sent around 125 eggs from Georgia.

Hope you are all enjoying this cooler weather, I know I am!

Meeting was interesting; they are going to discuss the ordinance change at the next ordinance meeting BUT it would be in our favor if we could provide the council with a list of signatures of residents in town who would like to see the ordinance changed. Our opposition provided a list of 80.... the one council member keeps making statements about how this is a waste of the City's time and this is a non-issue, they have more important things to worry about. The only reason this has even been brough before the Council is due to people getting caught breaking the ordinance.

I would like to ask her to abstain from voting.

The next ordinance meeting will be on September 11th, and the City Council will vote on the issue on the 24th.

BigZ, I hate to say it, but I think your Dr.O lived in the township of Weyauwega and not in the city. There is a little bit of land along the Lake by the bar that is not in the city limits, I think his place was in that area.

Not much new going on here. The girls are laying about 6 eggs per day. We finally have figured out who is who, and all have a name except for one. Big fights around here amongst the kids as to who gets to name who, lol. Went to the fair this weekend and now I am really itching to add a few more breeds to the flock. Also I think I have convinced the hubby to let me get a couple goats! Anyone have any info on which would be a better choice- fainting or pygmy? I thought they could live in with the chickens?

Cind, you have absolutely nothing to feel bad about regarding what you do or don't get done in a day. You built houses when you were pregnant, for crying out loud. You worked way harder than a lot of us. And now your body is reminding you, unfortunately.

I sure hope you are feeling better real soon. And feel free to whine away. You've earned it. I could never get half of what I do done outside without my scooter. Too bad the stinking batteries cost so darn much. Mine are going again.
