Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

A suggestion, You should ask the uw extentsion in your county to help with the presentation. Also there are seed company dealers that would be a good source of materials and knowledge.

As for the incubator, I would probably use it once or twice,so despite it being very fun to incubate, it probably isn't worth it

David, I have a whole stack of bators that I prolly will never use.. come borrow one if you want to hatch some eggs.. LG and Hova are not much different to use.. mine are all LG's.. I had several of the Hova's in the past, but I sold them.. nothing wrong with them, but people wanted them.. I will show you how to set it up so that you will not get
the infamous "byc temp spikes" ...

and don't go sending on Ebay for some overpriced eggs.. we can set you up with eggs..

CC you crack me up.

Cute mommy/baby pic too!

Kristi, I like the blue-yellow-pink combo on the top, a little more interest when you alternate the triangle colors. I would swap red for the pink, but that's just me. Choose colors you like.
Amy... Congrats on your ribbons! Do we get A pic? Hope you and hubby had a good day.
I think I put up links from my Etsy shop, but here they are. 2 exhibits took BIS, each exhibit consisted of 4 photos. (A couple of these are cropped or rotated, but you get the idea.)

Amy and Terri... it actually is not pink or red, but a dark wine color. I was grabbing crayons to try to find similar colors to get an idea. Sounds like you guys like the bright yellow background though.
Your Etsy pics are gorgeous. Love the frost covered red leaf, but they all look great.

Thanks, I will rent one from you for some beer or a bag or 2 of feed. I won't need one till spring, I need to get another coop set up

I kind of wish there was a like button with BYC. As a chicken novice I really do not have much to add but do like a lot of topics talked about on here! Well maybe I do have things to add, but like my DGF keeps trying to tell me I am not funny! laughter in my head works though!

This summer has been unbelievbly busy at work and around the home, and now with Fall coming and more stuff to get done around the house before winter, i'm not sure where I am going to find time. To top it all off it is hunting and trapping seasons real soon....

Back to lurking,

But I was right the bathroom scale is off but unfortunately not in the direction I thought. I've officially gained 8 1/2 lbs since retiring 2 1/2 years ago. Not too bad but not too good either. Wood makin is comin soon that'll help. Everything went hunky dorry at the VA. Have to wait on the lab yet.

Jim you'll have to post a pic of the Oliver when finished. I know I'll enjoy the contrast. Amy Happy Anni! and Congrats on all the ribbons! mazo glad you stopped in! Sounds like your having a good hatch!

Vic that's so neat about the other hens! Glad to hear Stirfry is feeling better. Hope it continues! CC that's a neat pic of the peeper face stickin out! The chickens just threw a serious fit went and didn't see anything but let a couple of warning shots go. Have coyote call comin Sun. Doesn't make much sense to call them in when you want them to go away. 3 !/2 more qts of dills cooling off on the counter, might be all that we'll need plus extra's. Don't know if I'll make bread and butters this year but going to make relish for sure. I was a few days early on canning the kraut but it wasn't bubbling anymore and it sure smelled like kraut when I canned it. Might have to make some brats and give it a try this weekend. David it seems to me that someone told you that your coop wasn't going to be big enough.

Are you and sweet daughter and DGF coming to the mini bash at my house? If you are, clik the link in my signature and say so, for Pete sakes. Also think about a dish to pass. Honestly, of you can't come from Arena..... :p

You can see the Australian Dots if you come... ;)

Posted my Lav Orp cockerals and someone emailed wanting one...and guess what? Im struggling with the idea of re homing :-( Especially since the one Ive really fallen in love with is the one in the pic she mentioned she wants (My DD13 wants to keep him too) Sigh "as the Chicken World Turns".

otonoh: My recommendation? get a broody hen...a lot easier, no worries about humidity, electrical outages, so on... (not sure where you live but I may have an extra broody black orpington hen I could part with)

Angie, thanks for the offer but I can't have roosters and I have my heart set on more silver laced wyandottes. I have one, thanks to dr. Ha ha and she is my favorite, my others are golden comets, from tracker supply, nice layers and fairly friendly too.
