My Khaki Campbell duck is only an estimated 3-4 months old. She’s lost all her visible baby fluff and can fly. She’s currently having some issues walking, running, or getting up. She’s high stepping and keeps falling. We’ve given her niacin and Apple cider vinegar already. Last time she did this, niacin worked and she was back on her feet the next couple hours. This time it’s not working and we’re not sure what to do. We’ve been giving her baths in the clean tub with slightly warm water, as a pond feels, and not in her typical pool, worried she might get worse when in exposed water outside. She’s pooping as normal and eating as normal, little meal worms, duck feed, eggs with nothing on them, occasionally ground worms and baby feeder fish. At times, she seems to gag every couple of hours. She might have something stuck but I’m not sure how to help. Her nose sounds stuffy.
When was the last time she had this problem? Did you give her niacin supplements when she was a tiny duckling up until she was 10 weeks old? You say duck feed so it is really for ducks not chicken feed? Just want to really clarify this. Since most water fowl and all flock have the necessary amounts of niacin. Even at that some ducklings can still need extra help. Just to see if this is a niacin deficiency I’d go to
