LMBO about your comment about ducks costing $4, then having to build an expensive house for them.
My "free" rabbit cost about $3500! Had to buy an additional shed and have it delivered to house them, no hutches for my rabbits! Had to have her spayed and vetted. Free horse, forget about it! Had to build a barn, farrier, vet, dentist, hay, grain, tack, etc.
So, I feel your husband's pain!

Thank you ! I'm pretty excited about it. I love having the lights on a remote especially since the days are getting shorter. The ducks and geese seem pretty happy with it too. They go in there during the day and just kinda do a once over to make sure everything is still there then head back out into the yard lol.... Right now I have astro turf and rubber mats on top of the gravel that rinses off really easy but I'm not sure what I'll do once freezing temps set in. Can't wait to see how they react to the first snow. I have one goose that think she is a princess and I wonder if she will even come out of the pen lol! This is our first year with ducks and geese and I just enjoy them so much!

Kuntrygirl-will go out in the next few days and take pics of the rabbit, and duck shed and the barn. Nothing to write home about, especially now because we had to put a very ugly tarp over the pool to keep the leaves out. Next year will figure something out, but this was a quick fix.
