Woo Hoo...I got an egg

I have been waiting for AGES for an egg and this evening when I went to feed the girls and defrost their water, as normal here on Vancouver Island.....and what did I see but 2, yes 2, perfect little brown eggies!!!

I am so so happy....my babies are grown up (sniff)

The likely suspects are 2 very vocal Red Sex Links called Audrey and Jasmine. Still waiting for my white unknown breed to lay at 7.5 months!!

I love it when people get their first egg!
It is really exciting!

I get 12 or more a day, and it's STILL exciting. one day it will be work, but right now it's great!

I am really eggcited for the both of you. I have a smile on my face as I remember my first (3 weeks ago) and still get the same feeling today when I went out and there were 5 eggs from 5 girls.

We got our first one a few weeks ago and are now up to 13 to 16 a day from 20 pullets. I know how you feel. Congrats!!!
