Woods question - again :)

Bravo!!!

Looks great and I imagine the excitement of new chicks must be in the air. The yard and location will make them happy for sure.

I wondered about getting the sections out of the workshop especially the floor. I have a small tractor with loader but still expect to have a struggle to get mine tegether and assembled.

Yeah no. I have a husband and two adult boy/men - no tractor. It was a tough one but we muscled it out there and into place. Even the walls were a lot heavier once put together than their individual parts :) Roof was framed up today though I am still worried about the spacing between the bottom of the monitor windows and the lower trusses, not much room there for trim and flashing etc...

Does look tight...but depends on what sheathing/roofing you will use :fl
Yes, I think that going with 2x4 headers topside would have given me a bit more room to work with below the window but I was worried about the snow load, hence the 2 x 6s. I'm planning on 1/2" ply and then metal roofing. May have to go with 1/4" ply on the lower. Crossing my fingers that I can fit it all in there ;)

Could mock it up....that's what I'd do..play with small pieces of materials to see what fits.
What are you using for windows, is that rough opening 'negotiable'?

Not very. I've purchased 16 x 24" shed windows so they are pretty set. I do have about 1/2" more play in my rough openings than indicated by the manufacturer so I'll shim upwards if I can to give me a bit more space. I can also move the back end of the rafters down a bit, I'm just hoping to avoid that as I can see myself whacking my head on them from the inside if I do that. I've got a bit of wiggle room, just not much.

@MiaS

There are two products from Ideal Roofing (metal) that have a 1/2" profile that may work in your situation: "Security Rib" and "Laurentian Rib". Ideal is a Canadian Supplier and I would think available in your area.

How much depth do you have to work with along the lower monitor?

My son works for a supply company that builds pole barns so I've already got my roofing and it's profile is taller than that (or at least I think it is, DH measured for me). I think I've got about 2 - 2.5" so barely enough for window flange above, ply sheathing, metal roofing and some flashing. I may be trimming the window sill with toothpicks :)
