Woof !! What kind of dog food do ya'll feed your pooch

I had trouble finding a food that my sweet Sable would eat. Authority got her eating.

it's not the cheapest at $40 for 34# but certainly not the most expensive either.

OH and my son feeds his dog Nutro chicken and rice formula.

Edited because autocorrect still ain't.
What the what autocorrect why must you taunt me and mess up what I type???
Autocorrect just makes for fun reading

My dog Keke has a sensitive stomach. After about a month of traveling an hour away just to get (really expensive) dog food we started looking for food closer to home.

I've found that Rachael Ray Nutrish dog food doesn't upset her stomach. It's about 18 dollars for 15 pounds. If it wasn't for Keke we would buy cheaper dog food.

Awwww what a sweetie

Good to know as
grain free seems to be the "it" thing right now. I agree with feeding dry dog food . It's much easier and less messy also.

Yes, exactly, and while things like grain free might be good for some people, or vegetarian, or gluten free, or low salt, or insert any dietary trend here, it does not always mean that's what's best for our pets. Different animals have different dietary needs and digestion systems than humans.

Try to find a food without grain in it. I cannot remember what kind of food I feed my Collie but because he is allergic to egg and chicken, it has no grain, egg, or chicken. I'll check when I get home. He does very well on it.

I feed mine Purina One. It has meat as a first ingredient. I feed the chicken and rice because the dogs like it better than the other varieties. My dogs are of proper weight, their coats are shiny, and their stools are firm and virtually odorless. This last tells me that they are digesting it well. There are a lot of good dog foods out there. Just stay away from the cheap supermarket brands.
