CALLING EVERYONE TO THE TABLE ~ I just took some more pictures of two of my mystery chicks in hopes that at 2 weeks old you could tell me what they are, haha There is a black one and a black/brown/almost mille fluer colored one in it's tail feathers.

Ugh, I'm so busy trying to finish this coop, I can't seem to find the time to take pictures! I put the camera out, thinking when I take a break, I'd see if I could snap a photo, but I'm so dead, I can't do that much, LOL. I want to finish it tomorrow so that I can put the chicks inside, they're growing literally every day and are WAY to crowded in there! Thursday it's supposed to rain, so I can't really let them loose in the back yard... or is rain troublesome? 70 degrees with thundershowers? Would that be OK for them?

Nah, I really have to finish the coop tomorrow, Friday I need the brooder for the next batch o birds! Ugh!

cluck-cluck, I feel your pain. I just had to build 2 coops in the last 2 weeks, 1 A-frame and run for my new trio of bantams and one massive one for eight ex-battery rescue hens I took on. Both projects were finished just in time for the arrivals. I wouldn't want to do that again but designing and building them from scratch was kind of satisfying. Of course, what is now called the big blue house is bigger that the ex-bats need so I need to find some more chickens to fill it up!

If the 1 with the brown/gold is a bantam & has a peacomb then it's a Golden Sebright. If it's large fowl or has a single comb then I'd guess Gold Laced "Something"...it definitely has the lacing starting to show. As for the black 1, need more info on the egg it came out of if possible.

They both are bantams as the show I got them from was a bantam show. I have a picture of the eggs.

Both a light tan one smaller than the other

Here is the third chick we got but it's just yellow and there are a lot of chicks that are just yellow so I'm assuming I will have to wait until it gets a lot bigger to know for sure what it is.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Locked down 22 of the 24 last night and this morning 2 khaki ducks and 3 marans also went to lockdown with them.

I wish it was a Sebright but it has foot feathers and when I looked the Sebrights don't :( I just looked at some pictures what about a Barbu d'Uccle or Millefleur, Brahma, or Cochin?

Now that it's almost finished (still need to do roof and big doors) I'm glad it's turning out stable and pretty ok :) But I'm procrastinating going out there today, I'm so pooped! I just had breakfast, looking here for a bit, then I best get my butt out that door, LOL. (oh, I did have to buy supplies, so did shop already, that's something I guess, LOL)

cindersga, I have no idea what breed those cuties are, but the pictures are adorable!!!

I had a dream last night that all my chicks unexpectedly hatched, when I looked in both incubators (remember one has only two eggs in it) they will filled to the brim with chicks begging to get out, and I had no place to put them!

Luckily my chick order at Ideal has been delayed a week.

Thanks, fate, I needed that ! LOL

With foot feathers it could be a buff brahma or a gold laced cochin.
