Will get photos layer on, but this baby is white with what looks like light dun down its back. Of course I know baby down can be deceiving, especially in Seramas, but right now, the color is looking really cool! Baby has made it thus far, and for me, the first few hours are really crucial. I think this one is going to be named Autumn (pullet) or Samhain (cockerel)

Really staying cautiously hopeful for at least a few babies from the ones due Friday now. This little one will need friends to peep and run amok with

I envy all you that have passed 50 and still no problems. I'm 20 and already feeling it. Ugh! My genetics!

Candled my eggs today after I lost power in the bator. Nothing at all, so no babies for me this time round.

No biggy, though as I have Peepers Legacy chicks coming out my ears, so not too sad.

So far I had 3 silkie cross chicks hatch and 1 EE mix. I have 1 more Silkie cross egg pip. The rest of the eggs look like they will hatch in the next few days.
