World Egg Day Hatchalong!(October 12, 2012 is World Egg Day!)

So far I had 3 silkie cross chicks hatch and 1 EE mix. I have 1 more Silkie cross egg pip. The rest of the eggs look like they will hatch in the next few days.
Do you know what your silkies were crossed with? How fun and exciting. Congrats to you.

I'm not sure because she had several different roosters. 1 looks very much pure bred. The other 2 look quite silkie like but 1 has some pink on it's feet and the other doesn't have the extra toe. I tried to get some pictures with my camera but I really need a new one, this one takes horrible pictures of anything that doesn't keep perfectly still. I will try later with my husbands phone.

LOL, I was wondering a few months ago when I first started looking at chickens fer real, why all the pictures were so meh! Not so good, but now when I try to take pictures of my own moving targets, OMG, it's hard! I'm thinking of trying to make a photo box so I can take pictures of my incoming chicks that are nice, one at a time... you know baby pictures to bore all my friends and family with

Lockdown comes so fast...good luck with your little ones! And yes, taking pictures when all they want to do is face away from you, or run around like crazy, is a challenge

Lockdown for my own second half of my hatch will be Tuesday :D We'll be right there about the same time

That there is funny!!! I'm the same way. I make digital scrapbooks and I'm going to do one of my chickens. I haven't even finished my kids baby books and they are 21-32 years old, hahaha but, my flowers and garden have a scrapbook, in fact two of them,
