"Lack of tolerance" should mean that there's zero tolerance for drug residue in the eggs. Nobody would recommend mixing Ivermectin with detergent!!! There is demonstrated parasite resistance to fenbendazole in horses, for example, and getting a measured dose into each chicken in the flock for five days running is problematic, IMO. Big commercial flocks get meds in their drinking water (greatest good for the greatest number) but I'm just not happy with that approach for my small home flock, and b individuals getting less than optimal drug dosages, promotes drug resistance. The big change in using drugs in food animals is directed towards antibiotics, with good reason. The hormone feed additives were a bad idea too! Mary

Baytril (enrofloxacin) can be used in cattle and swine. Banned in poultry, yes, but not banned in all food animals.

The 1% injectable is supposed to be given by injection or orally, not mixed in water. The 0.5% pour on is supposed to be given topically.

When did this change? Do you think maybe there is a typo on the FARAD site? I already found one regarding amprolium, so mabe this is another?

Have also seen commercials on RFD TV for Enroflox 100. Surely no one would pay for a commercial if the drug were banned? Cannot find and info from the FDA saying that fluoroquinolones are banned for use in *all* food animals. Cannot be used in veal and lactating dairy cattle, I think.
