Chickens carry all types of worms besides large roundworms, which wazine only gets rid of. Valbazen kills ALL worms.
Safeguard will not kill tapeworms nor flukes ....valbazen will. Judging from the pics I saw from Kuntrychick, it would be best to use valbazen. It can be purchased from Jefferslivestock.com or call them. It is a liquid catte/sheep wormer and will last a long time.
Actually, fenbendazole, the ingredient in Safeguard, does take care of tapeworm and flukes. It happens to be one of the medications approved for human use (by a dr. RX only). However, there are a couple of different types of tapeworms out there.
The best bet when ANY type of worm infestation is suspected, is to gather up the poop and go spend a bit of money at the vet for analysis then get the vet's opinion on which type of wormer to use. After that, head over to the
TSC or co-op, read the labels, and get it (since it'll prolly be cheaper there than at the vet).
