Worst chicken breed

Pics
We have several different breeds, BO, Welsumer, Spec Sussex, Isa Browns, CCL, JG, Araucana, Silverudd Blue and BR. All pullets are great. Some can be flighty but nothing horrible. Now on the other hand, we have some cockerels that are jerks. We have a Spec Sussex, KC, that stalks me and has attempted to spur me. He is fine with his hens. His counterpart Graham is not aggressive at all. Our Welsumer cockerel Wellsley is worse. He has even tried to get to me through the wire fencing. I would say Welsumer males have been the worst for me. We had a flock of them previously and had some pretty ornery males then too. We avoid RIR and Leghorns as we are aware of their reputation

My poor son (now 22 yrs old) still has a scar on his arm!
He was 2 or 3 when he got attacked by a friend's RIR rooster.
I had just pulled him out of his car seat. I set him down & turned to close the door when this thing came out of nowhere & caught his arm with a spur before I could snatch him up. 😡
Luckily I was right there & that thing didn't do more damage before I was able to fight him off!
Fastforward 20 yrs. My breed of choice is still the Buff Orpington. My husband took a liking to the Lavendar ones a client had. So (since I was trying to smooth over buying more chickens!! Lol!) I bought a couple cute grey chicks at TSC. Labeled as Production Blues.
Here they are at 24 weeks.
The one w/RIR bleeding through is not my fave. She's MUCH more vocal than the rest, bossy and doesn't have a very good concept of MY personal space.
But she was the first to lay, so there's that.
They are pretty hens & while I like Penny (the other PB) much better, I'm still gonna stick to my Orpingtons & just find hubby some Lavender ones next time!
Will also do some research on the Blue Australorp. Australia's Orpington, so might be a good fit...🤔
I’ve got one like her with lots of red leakage (on the right). They were Sapphire Blues, but I think that’s the same as production blues. Her attitude is decent, though. They do lay like machines I must say, and started laying early. I didn’t know what they were before I got them. Now I know!

as someone with a hatchery quality Black Australorp, I can say Australorps are a beautiful breed, and similar to Plymouth Rocks in temperament.

The brown leghorn lays a large egg,has no reproduction issues, doesn't go broody often and lays a lot of eggs.It also doesn't cost much to feed and is predator savvy. I recommend keeping a flock of them by themselves because they're flighty.

That roo is stunning! I love the green with white flecks!

Honestly, silkies. There is absolutely nothing in that head of theirs and are so fragile of a breed. I never liked silkies due to how unbelievably stupid they honestly are; silkies can’t save themselves from an ant. No hate to any silkie owners, just making that clear, as the breed isn’t bright.
I haven’t owned any but I’ve been around plenty of my friend’s silkies (one breeds them as well). I much prefer a more spirited serama or cochin bantam to a silkie. Still as loveable and sweet but not dumber than a rock.
agree always the first to be taken by predators/dogs
