My concern is that the name SHOULD be public. Because showing a bird THAT infested (IMO any infestation) should not be allowed. Because you risk passing the infestation to every other flock that is represented there.

If it's fair game to trash TSC because some are bad (despite the fact you can go up the corporate ladder to work to get the problems fixed), then it should be fair to put the name of breeders who are sending out bird who are infested and potentially sick. Because there is NO ladder to go up to get the problem fixed, so the problem needs to be known so others do not risk the same problems.

Yeah, I know but even if I did post the breeders name it would just be removed anyway.

I think it should be allowed to be posted - unless the info is public, this seller will continue to do what they are doing - if you have a website, blog, etc. . .I'd put the info there, too. . .​

Poor bird, I hope she gets better for you. I would demand a partial refund for the time and supplies you used in treating her and the potential loss of eggs and chicks while she was "under the weather."

Yes and show them the picture. You as the customer has the right to dispute the bad sell and demand retribution.

The downside is if the seller did not care to make sure the girk was healthy, he/she may not care to resolve the issue but instead try to be overly defensive.

Well, I emailed them this morning and still haven't heard back anything which don't surprise me what so ever and I know she/he has read their email because anytime I have emailed them they have always gotten back right away but not this time.

YES! You should contact the breeder and explain that you find it a "poor representation of quality, and false advertising!". As for listing the name: no.... I wouldn't not on the forum, but I would e-mail EVERY chicken connection I knew and tell them this is what you got. No one can stop you from e-mailing. BYC should not have to deal with this breeder screamin at them. But what you do on your e-mail. Well, let's just say a friend telling a friend is between friends... right?
