Would you do this?

I think it has a lot do do with a couple of things for me. 1. I see a fertile egg as a little miracle waiting to happen. 2. I just hatched my first set of eggs, they hatched on days 19 & 20. 3. The person who wants this is unable to feed himself. There is a big possibility that I will have to cook it and feed it to him. ( I can see my hens eyes right now!) 3. They're fuzzy butts in less than 3 days!

Unfortunately it's where I work and if he really wants it we can't refuse him. He's had them twice already. It was kinda of funny because we dodged the issue for quite awhile as there wasn't a store nearby to get them. Then he had a family member come visit and they brought him some. I heard the aide who had to cook it and feed him almost got sick. He brought home a fertile duck egg a few weeks ago. I hijacked it and stuck it in my bra! I begged him to let me candle it and if I saw movement to save it. Turns out it was in the refrigerator for a couple of days already. Everybody was laughing at me because I tried to save the duck.

Now.... maybe theres a health regulation that will help in this instance?! Like... you the workers Cant legally feed someone a non usda inspected meat or something? Haha!

Plus! Having to feed it to him would be an unhealthy working enviroment... salmonella, phych trauma, projectile vomitting, ect. I would pull out all the stops.

Its rediculous that someone would "need" to eat some ludicrous item when he has to be fed by someone else. It might even be risky for his health!

Well it's no different than anything else what we would eat that they don't like. That is their way of eating and their custom of eating the high protein meal.

All boils down, do you need the money? Well that would be one way of looking at it. Either pass or swallow that frame of mind and incubate those eggs. If it was me doing it, I would charge a bit MORE and help them enjoy the cuisine that they are very fond of. Otherwise, they will find someone else who would be willing to supply them the eggs.

There are a few threads on this...if you do a search on Balut.

It would be a way to get rid of those mutt eggs that were used to test out the bator...
Instead of hatching them, and trying to find a place for them afterwards.

Or, if you know the birds have a DQ, and find out before they hatch.
There may be a solution to this yet!
