Would you do this?

If I were in the business of making money with my birds, I would absolutely do this. If I kept them for pets, fun, lawn ornaments - NO.

If it pays do it, is he a good client? this may help your business relationship grow. Treat it as a business and take advantage of the market. I think I will skip eggs this morning though.

I don't know... on one hand, if someone deprived me of a food I enjoyed and I wasn't able to feed myself... sure I'd be begging for.... cheesecake. Balut? No... I'll never make a request for that.

Pricing would be weird... you need to charge for hatching eggs, not $3 a dozen for eating eggs. Then you need to add the chick price to that.. so another $1-$3 each tacked on at the end? Cooking fee of $.25 each? To me that translates to $3.25-$5.25 each, more for duck.

This is a tough one, but yes, I would probably sell the eggs for balut. Just because I don't eat a certain ethnic dish doesn't mean I should try to control what others eat. Still. . . I realize that some cultures eat dog and I know I'd never raise dog to sell for meat.

Strange how the mind and conscience work on ya, isn't it?
