Wounded cayuga duckling

It looks diet related. How’s it acting besides the leg? Alert? Peeping, eating, drinking?
It's acting very normal except the hurt leg, peeping when I'm away and such, the leg seems to be getting stronger. I let it swim in a warm bath 2 times today and it loved it. It limped around a little in the brooder but for the most part just sits still and wont walk yet. But its alert when I come in a check on it.

Did it use both legs while it swam? If it’s acting normal otherwise, I’d not be too worried. But @casportpony is the poop expert. Not me. I think you’ve been doing a great job so far. Just one side note, does the garlic come in the yeast? I was thinking garlic is on the toxic list for birds but can’t remember. You may want to research it to be on the safe side.

Anytime I have one who is injured, poultry vitamins go in their water. It just gives their body more nutrients to start the healing process. You can find it at any feed store. Keep up the good work. And I’m so sorry this happened. My dog got ahold of two of my cayuga ducklings and killed them last summer. :hugs
