Wounded shoulder....

Hi there.
So my turkey is about 6 or so months old and had gotten a small wound on his shoulder. I've been putting bluecoat on it but my chickens (I have him in the same coop as them) have still been pecking it. It has gotten a lot worst so I separated him but he is EXTREMELY unhappy about it and keeps whining... or whatever term it is for a turkey. Anyway, is there another way I can get it to be better without making him upset? Or will we both just have to deal with it?

By the way. I forgot to add but he's never actually been by himself .... ever. So I'm not sure if it would be good to be alone for him and its been getting cold at night. He has a dog house with straw in it but.... I don't know.
