SL, you know a while back I started writing a story about my college experiences. It was a fictional story that involved real people that I knew. I had them all choose super powers and the professors we didn't like that semester (a few friends of mine all had the same classes with me) were the villains. Man, that was a fun story to write! Then my room mates (who were in the story) started acting weird and I couldn't finish writing the story because I was too annoyed with them!
I often have fun writing fictional stories about real events in my life. I have one from high school too! LOL
I started about three paragraphs of a story. It's not what I was expecting when I set out to write a ghost story. Instead, it involves a nerdy character hanging for dear life off the edge of the cliff. I've come to the conclusion I am too ironic and sarcastic to be serious enough for a scary story! LOL

Life is not cruel. Life happens. Life may travel smoothly for a while and suddenly veer in an unwanted direction, but it is simply Life. And Life, from first breath to last, is a gift.
It is our humanness -- both a curse and a blessing.-- that that can be cruel. Our humanness allows us to feel loss so deeply, to find such anguish and hurt inside, to cry, why me! in pain when Life happens. It is also our humanness that allows us to feel love, build deep connections of heart and spirit, see joy in all things big and small, and hold dear that precious token we call memory.
And Life goes on. . . ever more precious than before.
I'm a Writer/Crafter/Artist... Have one Novel WIP, and a Children's Book Series in the works, and about a dozen Novel ideas scrawled down & floating around in my grey matter.
What a great idea to start this thread! I love supporting and connecting with fellow Writer/Artists!
So, cheers y'all on all your works, works in progress, ideas, etc.
That would be THEIR memory, not there... first rule of writing, check before publish.

I am legend,
There was a time
when i said
that death had no claim over me, that illness could not touch. Then when I died I thought this not to be true...
I soon then realized that I may be gone, but in the hearts of those who loved me, I live on,
forever in there memory.
I was nice,, I didn't mention the lower case i,,, but then I decided if you are going to write, you need to do it right.
