Wry Neck? Hypothermia?

ok so you've convinced me!! i will see about going out in a bit...weather seems to have cleared up a smidge, at least it's not pouring and lightning like it was! as far as the tubes, would Tractor Supply have them do you think and do i have to buy a special feed like you mentioned in one of the links you sent or would the baby food work?
The baby bird food will work best. As for the tube, TSC probably won't have those, but they might have the syringe, sure won't hurt to ask. If you have a small animal vet in town call them and ask for a size 16 or 18 french catheter and a catheter tip syringe. You last option is to get some aquarium tubing or refrigerator waterline and use that instead, but be sure to heat one end with a lighter to make it smooth.

He's a small bird, so I would start with 5ml of fluids, wait 15-20minutes them do it again. Too much too fast might cause him to vomit and aspirate. Remember, warmed fluids first to correct hydration, then fluids mixed with food..

Sent you a PM with my number. Go to a vet office and ask for the tube and syringe. If they are confused, call me from there and I'll tell them what you need. If you can't find any vets that are open, get the other tubing, this cannot wait until Monday.

Once you have your supplies, call me and I'll talk you through it.

Just wanted to check back with you all about my little Benny. I was able (with Ms. Kathy's help - THANK YOU!!) to find a poultry vet that would see my Benny!! It took 2 phone calls and a couple of transfers to end up in the right place but I finally got someone at the GA Poultry Lab to check him out! He agreed w/ ya'll about it being possible Marek's and gave me dosages for antibiotics. Between the tube feeding (again, thank you so much Ms. Kathy!!), the antibiotics and lots of prayers, I am proud to say my little Benny is getting so much better! It's been about 3 days now that he's been up and moving about, slowly but surely. He even crowed for me the other night!! (and woke me up a few times last night/this morning!!) The first week he was down, I thought for sure he wasn't going to make it! Whether it really was/is Marek's or botulism, hypothermia or severe dehydration, I may never know. All I know is he's much better! He still wobbles and isn't perfect but he is 1000 times better than he was! I don't have to tube feed him as much as he's able to eat grains and other things on his own now. I am so excited and so thankful for ya'll's help! I hope he has many more years on him! Thank you!

He went from this: (this was a week after I first found him hobbling in the cold) Look at his curled foot...poor little guy!

to this (2 weeks, 2 days after I brought him inside):

So happy for my Benny! I told him I need to change his name to Willie bc he had such a strong will to live!!!

Congrats. You're gonna notice a few side effects from all of this hard work. That little roo knows you saved his life. He won't forget that. He'll probably follow you around, and in general be a more loyal companion than a dog. My RIR roo wasn't sick, but I pulled him from a dog's mouth. Friendliest bird you ever will meet. The one before that (mixed breed) came to me with both legs broken. I splinted, he healed. Again, he was one super friendly roo.
