Thanks for the welcome R2elk. Well, finished my coop and run last weekend and now I need some chickens. Do you know of anyone in my area (northern Wy.) that has Australorps and perhaps a few (4) they might sell me? Thanks again, have a great day.

I finally got a few pictures from my new camera uploaded. Here are the 1st eggs from the girls I got from you Bob. There was a 5th one but I accidentally broke it (from one of the Legbars).

They're good girls Bob, I'm getting 3-5 eggs a day now.

Did you all get a bit of snow the other day? It was coming down pretty good here but it's gone now. Today it's supposed to get into the mid-60's. Be nice to see some sunshine!

I just got sprinkles of snow on Saturday. Everything melted as soon as it landed.

I saw that ad. I used to raise Swedish Flower Hens but sold them to move on to other projects. My experience is that the SFH in the U.S. are too inbred. They are a very pretty and enjoyable chicken but do not meet any of the stated rates when it comes to production. I had several hens that I was lucky if I got two eggs a month.
