I dunno what's happened with UPA, I even went to the forum, as well as to the main website, and couldn't find a thing about the bird auction, and the forum continues to be almost inert. It looks like whatever is happening at all must be going on with the Facebook page... but then there are old fogeys like me that just don't do Facebook, for whatever reasons

I absolutely abhor Facebook. I had to join because of selling my feathers, but I joined under a farm name and kept my actual name off completely. It drives me nuts and I have no idea how to use the site, but it does work for trading emails with feather customers. I just don't understand the need to publicly express every single thought that flits thru one's mind???

Nope that is a girl I met on an art website. She likes peafowl and has her own peafowl characters she made a story around. When I met her online she told me she drew some things for the UPA. She mainly draws fan art. Right now she is obsessed with the movie Frozen so she mainly draws Frozen fan art and doesn't draw peafowl much now. Eww facebook! I am not on it either and have never been on there. Everyone else my age seems to be on there, but I would much rather be here on BYC. Although I am annoyed when some people only sell on facebook and I can't access their page or see it. That makes it hard. I just don't want to join though...It seems too invasive.

I'm 50 and one of my Facebook friends will be 80 in July. I think I have 34 friends, most of which are family. It just allows me to see what they are up to since we don't live close. I don't post often and most of the time it's a random thing that amused me. Like when we were driving down the road and we saw some crows sitting on a round hay bale. My son said 'murder on a hay bale!'. That struck me as funny. Don't really care who see's my page since I never put anything personal there... they can see my strange comments and admire pictures of whatever critter I post, furred or feathered. I will say that folks that post constantly and have to share cute videos or pictures with me several times a day do annoy me, I just got to the point where I ignore it and hope they aren't posting something important for a change and I missed it.
