YO GEORGIANS! :)

Cool. GAMjr got her first Silkie egg this weekend. I told her it was going to take a lot of those tiny things to make a decent breakfast. I am such a loving father.

They may be tiny but they are yummy!

Oh! The EEs are so much fun! We still have one more EE hen that hasn't started laying yet and I can't wait to see what color egg she lays. :D
yes we have another who has not laid yet. Looking forward to see what color she does. Do you know what an EE roo and an EE hen will produce? Will it be an EE with puffy cheeks or no?

If both your EEs have muffs (puffy cheeks), chances are the chicks will have them. Because EEs are a mixed of chickens, unless you have bred him/her and seen the results, there is no telling what you might get! You can have two identical looking chickens from the outside, lay totally different colored eggs! I have now had two chickens (EEs) who had muffs, pea combs, slate colored legs and in all ways looked like EEs, but they laid light brown eggs (pinkish). I have two chickens who could be twins but one lays a dark blue egg and one lays a green egg. That is what is so much fun about Easter Eggers. You never know what you will get! Yellow chicks can grow out black and dark chicks can grow out with great patterns! You can't be sure what the genetics of an EE is. You just have to wait and see what you get!
