YO GEORGIANS! :)

Cute chicks!  And what a boy you have in the center of the pic on the left!  What kind is he?

I think you are talking about our blue boy (silver and red), Cottontail is his name. He should be a RIR roo x French Wheaton Maran. He is very pretty and quite sweet. I think the Black Star rooster might be sweeter, but he's still just a little one.

I usually work 6am-6pm on the weekends that's why I wasn't able to go today. Sometimes I do work in Emerson. So if y'all do anything in the Cartersville area let me know! I would love to meet some of y'all!
Also all of my Dominique's are doing well! 3 at three months and 8 at just over a month old. I am getting 4 Easter eggers in March. I already have 4 Silkie hens and a Polish roosters. So I may have to make some more room by parting ways with some of my Dominique's

I just love Dominique's but I can't part ways with the Silkies Or Polish because they are more like pets. And the Easter eggers are birthday present.

Day 20 and I have my first ever chicks to hatch! 24 of the 25 eggs have pipped. Does that sound about right?

we never tire of seeing chicks hatch its wonderful, enjoy!! great ob on your hatch rate
It was great meeting you, Cliff, Sable and Katsdar today
And I did end up selling enough today to make some purchases tomorrow :)

I was also disappointed there weren't more sellers today.

On that note, the Cartersville store manager said if I want to pick a date and send out the info, we are welcome to use his parking lot whenever! And they have that extra dead end road, so lots of room without being in anyone's way.

Anyone have suggested dates? Maybe Mar 26 to have one at our end of the state, since that was quite a ride today?
Will anyone have birds to sell by then?

It was great seeing you too and Sable again. I got some wonderful birds today, Ask the cville mgr to call Cliff cause if we swap/sell birds they do have to have a permit. After Easter weekend will be good, ask Cliff what other dates he was going to have his swap again, can't remember, so we don't clash.
Hmm, got the palest color egg I've ever gotten, from the pen with 15 RIR, 5 black AM hens, and 1 suspected Black AM/Australorp.
It is kind of a pale pink, I guess. I thought it was white at first, which REALLY threw me.

Wonder if it was a blue that didn't get that final coat of paint or a first egg from the mix.
Just ODD.

post a pic
So we ended up with 2 new cats today. And a pair pea birds. And we may be getting another horse tomorrow. I'm gonna put a sign at the end of my driveway advertising a petting zoo and charge admission.
Free addmission to BYC friends lol, trying to type with a lap rat on my lap is not working too well, she wants to get to the chicks,

Looking GOOD, Silver Hill!! My MFD are wrapping up their wave of hatching and the Brahmas are getting into full swing. Looks like seven or eight babies out (one is a Brahma) and five Brahmas pipped or zipping. :D

AND I sold some MFD chicks today and also a dozen MFD eggs. :D :D

Got my little Leghorns moved out to the "big kid" house so they can stretch their legs more and built a new laying box for the Brahmas since theirs was inside the big kid house.

It was a good chicken day, lol.

I bought 8 banty mixes today from TSC 2 have yellow on their heads and splashed with yellow with feathered feet and one is brown with feathered feet!!! can't wait to see what they grow up to be.

You should have seen the little Seramas at the guy's house where we bought the peabirds. He tried to give us a rooster for free but we didn't need a rooster. But they are awesome looking little birds. They stood up nice and straight and their tails were also straight up where they nearly touched the back of their heads. Very nice looking little birds.
