being that close to home I might consider coming. probably wouldn't bring anything specific unless I get a couple leghorn/am crosses for Flower by then :)
 
Hmm, got the palest color egg I've ever gotten, from the pen with 15 RIR, 5 black AM hens, and 1 suspected Black AM/Australorp.
It is kind of a pale pink, I guess. I thought it was white at first, which REALLY threw me.

Wonder if it was a blue that didn't get that final coat of paint or a first egg from the mix.
Just ODD.

What you have is called a "tinted' egg color. It is a white egg shell base with the smallest amount of brown coating. It must be one of your RIR. It is not from the AM or AM mix. Those carry the blue egg shell genes. The AM/Australorp mix should give you a pale green egg.
