YO GEORGIANS! :)

The ducks are so pretty and white, I'm going to go get them a kiddie pool and put it into their space and let them have fun, I filled up their water this am, and they just go diving into the running water. I hated to turn the hose off, do you think I could let the Peking ducks out to run around in the yard when I"m home of course? I think they are going to go to Gam's and the female Mallard. They need to have a nice home after what they came from, I'm trying to talk him into letting me rehome his other birds at least the ducks it's just so sad. 2 of the roosters are in cages so small (we are talking bantams) they just have enough room to turn around in. and never gets out.

Awe! I love happy endings for animals! Thank you so much for caring!

katsdar ... sorry, just been having trouble keeping up lately. Surgery last week, kids back to school this week, Robo (always an issue), etc.

If and when ... the ducks are more than welcome to come to the farm. You just let me know.

Quail ... I'll go back to PM for that (where I dropped the ball earlier) and we'll get it figured out.

So glad you were able to save the ones you could! Sometimes that's all we can do. If I had the space is be right there with you trying to find homes for those poor babies, but I gotta worry about mine first before I take any more in.

oh I didn't hear from you so I though you didn't want the quail, so how many do you want. and the ducks are home,(only temp) but I have never seen ducks so happy to have white clear water, I was running the hose into the water pan and they all 3 immediately went under the running water and started taking a bath, So I sprayed them down really good and then filled up the trough as you can see very happy ducks, bet this is the first time in their short 4 months that they had a swim. So I put them in one at a time and the others were squawking for their turn. I tried to get them all taking a bath but it just didn't happen, so one mallard female and the 2 Peking look to be female also. Oh and the white ones were green, yeck but so pretty now
Thank you for saving those babies , I live in Dallas Ga if you want to get a recon mission together to get the others out I am in .I can't stand people neglecting animals.

Don't y'all just love it when they announce in public that they are going to go tell secrets? They don't want the rest of us to know what kind of shady deals they're making with the mob for black market quail.

ok, I'm going to have to go and have a serious talk with the owner of the rest of the ducks, I went and got a kiddie pool and I have never seen ducks get so excited to see water, so needless to say they jumped in. I was worried about the Mallard flying away cause I didn't get the pool all the way in the pen, anyway they are not going far from the water. I think he has 4 more Peking one looks like it maybe getting the curled tail feather. I wish I could keep one, but I just don't feel I have the duck set up, years ago when I had my one Peking duck I had a pond so anyway we will see what happens, we maybe on a recon mission ,lol

Now someone here wanted Cochin Bantams, I have 7 hens and 1 roo that are from the same place that needs to be re-homed, I free range and I was told these birds don't do well, so any takers? going to get pics

My cochins free range. Well, semi free range. They have 1/3 of an acre fenced with a 6 foot privacy fence and a great pyrenees keeping all the critters away. All of mine are loose in the yard unless I have them penned to get eggs from certain birds. Even my silkies free range. My bantam cochin girls hang with the standard hens most of the time. I've got brown egg layers, easter eggers, cochins, and silkies all loose with the ducks and muscovies in the backyard. I would love more cochins... however I am sadly overloaded with little roos plus having 4 adult roos in the yard already.
