Need help let us know

Yeah no free meals here!! and no vet bills for stitched heads!!!

We don't have any vets that see chickens around here, so any vetting on them has to be done by me.

Good luck with you banquet. It sounds like it will be wonderful.

Thanks, my chicken which is now called stitch, ripped her skin from her neck to the back of her head a few months back, it was I felt out of my league so I took her to my vet and said I'll pick her up later, (I knew she saw chickens) they knocked her out put in 20 something stitches (I usually doctor them too) and sent her home she rested in a safe place nice and warm over night in the house the so I could keep a check on her and the next day good as new. Let her go back out in the yard.

Quote: yea..rainy conditions and wood steps aren't my friend. They are thinking my arm is broken/fractured, but x-ray was inconclusive due to the swelling. Anyway, like I've said before, they dont call me Grace for nothing around here! LOL...
Do ya'll have a habitat for humanity restore up there? They have all kinds of stuff including flooring and doors. down here Tuesday and Saturday or Wed and SAT everything is 1/2 off. you just have to go look and see what they have. My friend got a beautiful, wood and glass door for $10

Here is a pic of my Sunday project...a new planting table

I'll get this out real quick.

These are my 3 week old Runner Ducks! Look how big!

Broody, Roberta, my CCL, and some of her chicks

Zorro loves to just sit like this.

Bad Photo, but wanted to show how her/his feathers are growing out. Should be a handsome duck!

It's just to keep their dumb little heads in the wire so they don't get them ripped off. We've dealt with lots of predators, so I'm getting pretty decent at figuring out the flaws in a system.
Looks like you used 4x4 hog wire as a frame and overlaid with 1x1 garden mesh so that the poults and turkeys will keep their heads. Nice work!

Need help let us know
Thanks!

Many thanks to katsdar and the brucifers ... couldn't have done it without y'all.

Look forward to seeing everyone on the 20th.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your young 'uns. Great kids!
Even though it was a lot of work to do in a short period of time, it was fun. I think we all had a real sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

Are you getting another x-ray once the swelling subsides? So wait a minute; were you going to use your arm sling for your Delaware as well?? lol

Thanks for the idea about HfH restore option. I checked and there are several stores within a 50-mile radius, so we'll take a look. I was also thinking about posting an ISO ad in craigslist. I've gotten so many great items from there.

I know we are about to go down, but here is the t-shirt design I've been working on. I hope you guys like it. Putting "volunteer" work out there for a community to critique is tough, but so am I. Let me know what you think.
This would be for the front left chest position. I can always take the chick off if it's too cutesy. This is where the chicken and the peach merged.

This would be for the full back print. Both photos show lower resolution than it would print. I'm guessing this is the file size that BYC would let me import.

They will be printed on 100% Natural (unbleached) cotton shirts at $10 each.

If anyone needs to reach me or this ends up like BYC 2K and we all vanish from the earth, you can email me at livhatcher at me dot com

Liv, you're quite the artist. I especially like the front-pocket-position design. Well done!
