Chicks are the cutest! Congrats on your new and upcoming babes, everyone! I am done with chicks at the moment, but plan on getting more hatching eggs soon. I just can't quit. LOL!

Are you going to the Old Fashioned Farm Swap? I saw the advertisement on CL and I so want to go but hubby may have other plans.

Ok, summarizing because it may have gotten lost in the shuffle: Has anyone dealt with crop impaction surgery? Anyone want to assist with one? My hen is suffering, and I'd like to at least try it instead of culling her.
Did you ever do the surgery on this chicken? Just do like in the video. Wrap her legs in a towel and pluck or cut some of the feathers from her chest. Make about a 1-2 inch incision with a razor blade knife (be sure and sterilize it first).. Just reach in a finger and pull out all the gunk. clean it out as best you can. Most people either sew it up with needle and thread or super glue it back together. (There will be two layers of skin that will have to be put back together. The outer skin and the crop. If possible, do one at a time, If not, you can do it all at one time. The chicken usually takes this all in rather calmly. Good luck!

Yea. It's at Taylor feed in Waycross. I am going to sell some of my eggs, and a couple chickens, and I though about taking my daddy's rabbits to sell. My hubby said he would go with me and then changed his mind, so Im going myself. Hopefully my sister will show up so I can walk around. I have never been to one, so this will be a new experience.

Alright peeps. Tell me how to incubate goose eggs.
Unfortunately, I'm a first-timer on that subject, myself.

I have very little hopes for these goose eggs, though. They sat out in a cold truck and arrived VERY chilly, and TWO have detached air cells.

Crap! The Kia commercials never occurred to me -now I'll have nightmares.

Let us know how the hardware store work for you. If they don't, check the rabbit supply places: Klubertanz, etc. Rabbit Breeders make a he'll of a lot of some wire cages.

Bass Equipment.
I know, sounds like a fishing store. But it's rabbit supplies, lol!

We have 4, one year old hens. One is a RIR named Ginger, one is a barred rock named Pepper, and two easter eggers named Silver and Quail. They have been so much fun. They have great personsalities and very affectionate. Not to mention spoiled! We would love to have Silkies this year. Hoping to get them from The Garry Farm.
That's where my two white ones came from!
