YO GEORGIANS! :)

@ValleyChick
thank you for the response and information. The chicken swap sounds perfect!

@CliffB
thank you for organizing the swap! I will be there.  Can you please tell me the store name or number again? I know I saw it before but could not find it. I have been to the Canton location, but will have to stop by your place to see what you have. Do you carry organic feeds as well?

@carcar80
, I hope you have good drainage and drier ground soon. The 2 ponds I had this morning are halfway down now. I am reading up on permaculture methods for water management, thinking maybe I can end up with a permanent pond and better drainage overall in my 2 acres. I was happy to find out that the veggie garden fared quite well, so I can continue with the plans on having the chicken tractor in there.

Now on to finishing up the coop plans and start building, have to be ready by Feb 14! Can't wait for the ladies to join me in the garden.

I'm at the McDonough store and we carry the small bags of non gmo pellets and starter crumble from manna pro. We are actually one of the top stores in the region for this product also.

HOLY freaking assistance fail, batman!!

I noticed just now that three chicks had pasty butt. So I took all to the kitchen, cleaned those up and put Vaseline on all.

Well, now the ones I had to treat are getting pecked on the hiney by the others. AND I freaking have to leave here in a few.

What do I DO!?!?!?
They don't really need the vaseline. Wipe some of it off and try to fluff their butts back up. The others can see the vents moving so...

You are welcome! Glad I could help. I hope to be there too!

The ones with Vaseline only are fine- I only ever put a tiny dot. It's the ones I had to dunk their bottoms to de-paste them. And I dried them as well as I could, didn't want to stress them anymore than I had already and I was also nervous about messing with the vent area too much more. Ugh! So mad at me lol.

In the meantime I had put the three I cleaned back into the shoebox I had taken them to the kitchen in. Came back and one had pushed its head thru the half-circle hole at the top and I had to get scissors and have DS help me cut it out. :barnie

Next my freaking brooder temp has suddenly dropped. The bulb won't even get it to 92* now which is prob Wy pasty in the first place. :barnie Hubby has gone for stronger bulbs now (which I SAID I needed before they hatched but this one worked fine at first)

Shew. Anyway, they have all conked out now. I pray they can dry while they sleep and I for come home to a crime scene!
