YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well I clipped the cord- no blood- and put the baby in with the others. They are walking on top of it, and pecking its beak lol. But, it's taking it well and they're not relentless with it. We shall see. It's still not truly walking, but can right itself if it flips.

And after all of the effort you've put into this Marans chick it will end up being a cockrel.  LOL
Don't think I didn't already think of that! LOL. And speaking of, I think the other five are 2:3, boys to girls. :clap

See...this is the hatefulness I live with every day.
Hmm. Funny, I don't seem to recall GAM trying to drown me and then break my neck with a small, unassuming goat.

What!

What he said ... Mutts are wonderful. Pure bred is fine too but they don't care. Its about the process and then the super cuteness. And they aren't particular about the chicks when they want to take them home.

And while I appreciate the offer I think the eggs would be too old by the time we set them. Incubators get turned on the 23rd and the eggs don't go in until 2-3 days after that. :(

I would normally never even ask such a question, but for real though. Can I finally just clip this shell off this chick!? It definitely doesn't look to be transferring anything at this point..

I feel like putting him with the others would help immensely but I can't with this shell hanging off. I have some iodine I could dip it in.. If I cut it far away from his belly?
My boy. Hes a phoenix. Sadly lost last year. To the neighbors stupid dog!!!. Everyday he's missed. I thought on getting another one. But I can't replace him. Becky and I rescued him n two hens he was in little chicken cages . Two years everyday hearing him crow. Eating carrots . Being his goofy self. I miss him . We raise them outta love for them .

I just love roosters and he is gorgeous! Neighbors dogs are the worst! I know how you feel. You could never replace him by getting another one. He will always be the unique in your heart so that is not replacing. It may help ease the pain of losing him if you did get another Phoenix though. We lost our Red Star named Rox Star last year. She was really something. She would help me dig for worms and talk to me the whole time I was cleaning the coop. She had something wrong with her that caused her to be an internal layer which resulted in her getting an infection. I will be getting more like her in the future but they will never replace her.
I'm sorry to hear about
