YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hello Yo Georgians I have been reading this thread for weeks ,I feel like I know all of you. I have three girls I know you all are laughing so let me tell you why only three.I bought six chicks about three yrs ago three were killed by a coon , the other three were roos those boys were so mean I gave them to a friend that had hens and no roos it was a win win . So I then bought 12 chicks they were doing so good I had them for about four months when something dug into the coop killed them all . A friend took pitty on me and gave me three of his and yes the coop has been reinforced . Now the chicken math has hit fifteen chicks on the way (light Sussex) a new coop needs to be built BIGGER. I am glad to meet all of you and look forward to picking your brains to learn as much as I can .

Welcome to the family!!!

So, when are you planning to expand your coup, and have you started looking at incubators yet? These are the next symptoms of our wonderful disease.

So it would seem the cat was getting in the way of something the horse wanted.
Um I hope kitty learned it's lesson unharmed. I had am orange kitten that grew up with my 2 GS and big English Black Lab. The female GS took it on herself to put kitty in line when he would forget himself around her. She pinned him on his back and snout whipped him like she would one of her pups. Hubby would make sure she understood when enough was enough though.

Kitty is fine. In fact, she almost seemed to be enjoying it at first. She let the little man know when she wasn't ok with it anymore and he let go. That picture was the second time he picked her up.

I've also had to snatch my kitty up that way when he forgot himself with me on the very odd occasion. It only took him a quick minute to remember I was the Mama and boss, he quickly comes back too me rubbing against my leg and wanting up in my lap to make amends lol.

Kitty quickly learned that Mama GS is the boss and backed up when she wanted to check out his first rat catches. It dod not take him long to start taking his catches out side of their gate to do as he wanted uninterrupted.

@katsdar , have we started CA (Chickens Anonymous) yet? I may need an intervention. I bid on and won 12+ Australorp eggs last night. I now have 7 Silver Silkie eggs under a broody Silkie, I still have 12+ eggs coming from California this week. It doesn't help knowing my neighbor has a cabinet hatcher and has told me I can hatch my eggs in it anytime.
