I don't use gloves, but I do make sure to wash my hands before candling. Unless it's just chicken germs on them, lol.What's your incubation technique? I can't seem to keep shipped eggs going at all. I saw where someone used surgical gloves when touching all her eggs because the oils in your hands are harmful. Is that true? I touch all my eggs and my first hatch (those four eggs I got from GAM at the swap last year) was 100%.
I have a cabinet now so really compared to styro it's an unfair comparison.. At least with the luck *I* had with styro, anyway. I had like one run of good luck my last season with my LG. After that things went back to way south and I got fed up. Many here do a wonderful job though. I would get shipped eggs about halfway through and then they would either quit then or during lockdown.
