OMG! I love the look of guineas.....and there are so many different colors, but I can't hve them here. We use our house as a vacation rental and I don't think the renters would like the noises they make.....especially when they sound off at anything or anyone new in the yard. We have up to 20 new people here every week! One day I will get some!

They are so fun. I was worried about the noise, but it's not that bad. I'm not sure if my guineas think they are turkeys or my turkeys think they are guineas, but they are always together and the guineas are BOSS

ok, so I don't know a lot about guineas. Do they lay eggs in a nest like chickens? What size are their eggs? What do they taste like.....assuming you eat them. Hahaha.. Told you I didn't know about them, just love their look!

Mine are all young hatched them this summer. They lay where ever they feel like usually having a community nest... From what I've read. They tend to be more domesticated if raised with other poultry. Mine actually go and roost with my turkeys at night. Eggs are smaller but pack twice the protein as chicken eggs AAAAAND I read they taste like a gamey chicken....so yummy.... Lol I'm still learning as well, but I just really enjoy them. They are comical.

So the first weekend in October is the annual Andersonville fair... It's a big to do around. Honestly it's nothing fancy, but people come from all over to see the Civil War reinactments. I am carrying on the antique booth my mother in law used to do. I'm actually thinking of bringing my eggs to as well.... At least to the actors. They are in character the entire weekend. I think they'd enjoy some freshly laid eggs.
