Hehe, I have a teal green cheek conure name Ziggy Stardust. Maggie May would be a good hen's name...I like the Rod Stewart reference.

Glad to know other people have a similar sense of humor! I feel like I've found my tribe!

There are a group of bantam pullets in the coop with David Bowie, and I've just been calling them "The China Girls."

I drive through Crawfordville when I go up to Athens. It's pretty tiny, but really cute! Don't they film movies there all the time?

I love the idea of naming after singers....we were naming our bantam pair Johnny and June, but after a while, I started calling him Elvis and her Diva....cuz oh so suave and sassy they are!!
Oh, I have some of their chicks available if anyone's interested.
