You know the neighbors

And they know you have chickens.
If there were ever any doubt about whether they minded me and my chickens tonight laid those fears to rest.

As I sat down to dinner the doorbell rang. It was my neighbor, a burly single dad that goes hunting a lot. He had a dish with melon rinds and squash in it. He wanted to know if he could give my hens a treat.

What a nice thing for him to do. What a funny thing to watch. This burly fellow bringing treats to some silly hens.

The hens were very happy with the treats and I am sure he is now on my "getting eggs" list.
