I am married to a hispanic man. We met when I was 12. I am bff with his sister and spent weeks at a time at there house before I finally moved in. I speak spanish and can read it but my spelling is not that good. Most of the time people just assume I am a light skinned hispanic and will speak to me in spanish. I love the culture and the FOOD. I have been apart of this family for 18 yrs. so I blend in pretty well now LOL. As a matter of fact I can make tamales, tortillas, chille con carne.salsa and green echilladas like the best of them. LOL

Perhaps (OK I'm begging) one of you would like to start a thread with a few Mexican recipes? I can make a really good guacamole and I always do fresh salsa, and one of the recipes is from a hispanic lady I met in a college printmaking class.

You tell me what you would like to make and I figure out the recipe. I don't know the measurements its a pinch of this and handful of that. But if you tell me your favorite foods I'll make them and measure out the ingredients so I can post them for you. Of course you will need beans and rice on the side.​
