glad to know there are people like me! I thought I was alone. My mom doesn't seem to think this is how farm people live (Even though she was raised on a farm and still lives on a farm). She freaks out if she sees a cobweb and has offered to come clean my house more than once. She is very judgmental of my house. But she never had chickens or any other type of small animal...
I have enjoyed this thread- it started out as a randomly rant but turns out more people are like me
Love it.
You are not allowed to kill the spiders, because they have names...
You have two or three chicken buckets setting in your kitchen, and all uneaten food is eaten by something else.
You have 3 incubators in your bedroom, a brooder, your button quail, and in your dresser you have eggs that you are saving up to incubate.
You bring all your hurt animals in the house to doctor them.
You are in constant need of new coops.
Your cloths are never clean, the hay an assortment of animal poop, hay, and what ever else you find at your barn stuck to them. And ya know what? You don't mind one bit!
You are always tracking **** in from the barn.
You are told, quite often, that "When you get your own house you can have all your chickens in the house, however, you are still living in MY house and they must stay outside!"
You don't mind when the calves you're bottle feeding get slobber all over you!
If fact, you think it's darling on them to give you kisses.
When you milk the cow in the morning, and her bag has a layer of calf slobber.
There, those are a few to start with!
