Oh! What a funny thread! I don't live on a farm now, I used to....had a small one at the last parsonage, this one is in town...and the neighbors are very particular!
But I've seen a few funnies in my day!

its like everytime the doors open the birds and animals think its a new barn to explore it would be all fine and dandy but i have a german shepard who is VERY teritorial and doesnt think that these such animal belong in the house and she attacks them.
i also use the comon phrase

I wish I lived on a farm! My Aunt lived on a dairy farm and each year she hosted thanksgiving. When we were little, we spent the whole day with the cows,horses,ducks and chickens and stunk to high heaven by the time it was time for dinner. Now that we are all adults with our own kids, and my aunt has moved, we take our annual trek after dinner to a local farmer who lets our kids be with his animals for a little while.
For now I have to be content to be with my dogs, guinea pigs, and chickens......

We live right on the edge of town, very small town, if our neighbor down the block doesnt hear my donkeys bray for a day or two he wants to know if they are ok.

Same neighbor brough us "some" potatoes for us to eat but mainly for the animals. Do you know how long it takes to go through 2 dump truck loads of potatoes and sort them out? I'm on my 3rd week.

the cops know who the llama taking a bath in the middle of the street belong to.

the cops also know that the goats will go home on their own, but head them in the right direction.

People ask how the animals are before asking us how we are.

Get new shoes and dont want to wear them out side because you know that you are going to be in a pen with one of the animals very soon.

Start out the day in clean clothes but never know for sure what is on them by the end of the day.

The donkey sits on one knee while the other donkey has a chicken on its back and I'm petting a couple more that are on my arm and shoulder.

Dont know what I would with out my animals, but I do know that there is nothing like an new born animal, be it a goat, chicken, goose, or duck.

Love those silly animals.
