It just... bothered me. I mean, it's pronounced like "ducks," plural of "duck," but he's used it to refer to a single duck... it sends my "incorrect grammar' alert going off just as loudly as "dux" sets off my "incorrect spelling" alert -- that is, loudly.
But, if it's the French spelling and the word "dux" can be properly used as both singular and plural, that's fine....

Speaking of numerous lakes, Alabama has quite a few. Not as many as MI, but more than I’m used to. Everybody and their brother has a boat of some kind - not dependent on your economic status, but rather on your ‘pace of life’! Speed boat, ski boat, bass boat, troller, jet ski, or pontoon! Oh yeah, now there’s my speed!

Seems like most southern Lakes are due to dams. Michigan doesn't have as many lakes as Minnesota does, but there are many many of them, and they are natural.
