Only time I've ever had the opportunity to try crawdads was on the buffet at a Deadwood casino. They tasted a lot like I imagine mud would taste. I'm not a picky person. I'm pretty adventurous when It comes to food and ready to work at developing a taste for unfamiliar flavors. But these tasted mucky. I assume they weren't prepared properly, butThose are the nastiest things to eat I’ve ever tried. I’ll stick to the okra.
They are called mud bugs for a reason lolOnly time I've ever had the opportunity to try crawdads was on the buffet at a Deadwood casino. They tasted a lot like I imagine mud would taste. They need to be in clean fresh water for at least a week to 'clean' them out...if not they will taste like mud.Only time I've ever had the opportunity to try crawdads was on the buffet at a Deadwood casino. I love that area. Mines, caves, Town of Deadwood, Lead. I was there and saw Deadwood as a pioneer town, way before any casinos were built, ( I miss the Black Hills! )Only time I've ever had the opportunity to try crawdads was on the buffet at a Deadwood casino. The Cajuns came from eastern Canada. They were called Acadians and were pushed out by the British, in Le Grand Dérangement. They were forced to become Southies against their will.I had crayfish bisque at a cajun restaurant called Lagniappe in Marquette. it was delicious, but I'm sure they knew how to cook them properly, everything they cooked was fabulous.
