My birthday is November so I’m glad I’m a Southie! Luckily I’ve got a bunch of banana tress with lots of leaves. Just hope I don’t run out and have to turn to the thorny aloe vera plants!

Any mullein we may have starting to grow now is too tiny a rosette under the snow to even make an earring. That said, this is interesting. I've read about smoking the leaves as a respiratory treatment and steeping the flowers in oil for ear drops, but making tea from the leaves is an interesting new idea. Thanks!Supposedly, mullein tea is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and reduces respiratory inflammation. I'm drying some leaves now. Flowers won't come till later.
