Hello!
Young, 3 months old goose, can't open its beak. Wants to eat and drink, but can't. Everytime attempting any food and water intake, it tilts its head to the right. It tried opening the beak, its close to impossible. It was shivering a bit, I took it inside. Gave a hemostam injection and tried selon E orally, most if it dripped on the ground.
Breathing is quite heavy, but the shivering have stopped inside.
Any ideas in what that could be?
A few days ago I wrapped its wing, but the bandage was taken off. I wonder if the goose hit the head while taking it off...

We had to let him go... 😥towards the evening he was doing worse, falling over in the attempt to get up, obviously in pain. Couldn't see him suffer anymore...💔
But we did an autopsy, in hopes to get answers. Liver, heart and kidneys seemed to be normal. But the lungs were partly grayish and in the stomach we found a piece of metal 😳 the stomach lining was greenish/blueish, caused by oxidation probably

I have a gosling in a sorta similar type situation. Was attacked by a dog about 2 weeks ago and since will barely open his beak and has his tongue sticking out. Can still eat/drink but it took some adjustments. Ive since put his food and water higher so they're more level with his head. He's gotten better eating and drinking on his own with it that way.

Update: the vet suggested a neurological issue. Either a head trauma or most likely a vitamin deficiency. They did an x-ray and there are no fractures. The jaw is opening a tiny bit, but the gosling is not swallowing.
It got a few needles: Vit AD, Metacam for pain relief and penicillin.
