if your human raising your ducklings don't let them swim when there little they cant produce enough oils yet to keep there skin dry. A little cold draft and they can get sick. Ducklings raised by their mom's get oil from them until they make enough of their own. Try to keep human raised ducklings bedding as dry as you can to. Peat moss absorbs water best when ducklings are real tiny . You can put wood chips over it if you want. As they grow a little bigger I understand old bath room towels work great and easier to clean up. Don't let ducklings walk on slick surfaces as it will hurt their legs.
