young rooster crowing

Thanks for these updates! FWIW, we're not worried about the noise for us--we like the crowing. But we have neighbor issues.

My poor boy has been crowing for a month and still sounds horrid. Gives me a good laugh though. He'll either go ERK erk ERK
or ERK erk ERK erk EERRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

I keep telling him he needs lessons.

My rooster that is named Ford is named that because when he started crowing he sounded like a model T horn.

I am SO not telling George about that. Let him think he has the worst crow around, maybe he'll learn faster hehe.

Ours is a crack up too. For a few days we kept hearing this occasional turkey-gobble sound coming from the young 'uns coop. We also suspected that one of the 8 newbies was a boy. The other day I heard the noise again and snuck around to watch. Watching a 7-week old, half size cockerel stretch his neck up like a big man and make that cute gobble sound was hilarious!
