I'll get more seeds this weekend and throw them in. I tried growing echinecea, chamomile, and lavender and none of them are coming up either

Seeds not sprouting was a big topic on the other garden thread. A lot of them came from Baker Creek. I am going to replant chard for the 2nd time today, and see if I get a better germination rate. So far, I'm only 2-3 out of 20. I soaked the second batch, and it was no better than the first. (They weren't Baker Creek seeds.)

my garlic is huge!

So are mine! And I'm probably less than a week away from cutting scapes!

I planted Music and also German white. The Music is from my saved cloves; I bought the German white. The Music is bigger. I think it likes it here.

That's where most of my seeds came from and I haven't had much luck so far. But I also didn't know some needed heat, so it's a toss up on if it's me or not

Have you tried laying a board across newly planted seed after you water them in? You have to keep it checked and remove the board as soon as you see sprouts.

I do this sometimes if I'm having problems getting seed started. It helps to keep the moisture more consistant.

That's where I got all my seeds, Baker Creek. My tomatoes did great, some were mine, some from Baker. But none of my flowers sprouted and only the basil for the herbs

Today I'm replanting the large parts of a few rows of beans and summer peas where water stood to long right after they were planted. It's hot out there and there's plenty of moisture there to get the germinated and growing. I'm going to have to figure a way to divert the water that comes down off of a terrace into this area of garden.

All of my seed sprouted and are growing great that didn't get standing water on them from the 6" monsoon we had. I didn't by any from Baker Creek. Most came from the CoOp feed and seed store. I did order some from Wilhite out of TX. Some were two year old seed I had leftover from Burpee. One thing that didn't sprout was some very old mustard seed. 5-6 year old seed should have been tossed and fresh bought.

Lots of strawberries in NW MO. Only have blackberries and a few blueberries now. Raspberries will be added next spring.

Did your berry shape even out as the fruit was produced? Or did wonky shaped berries consistently come from the plant that made them? I have a plant I got that makes really weird shaped berries, but don't know if it's just because this is the first year it's producing

Could be that it needs certain nutrients
