Hi guys...HELP.

One chick has been out for about an hour+ and he acts as though his neck is too long or he has no control or his head is too heavy. He keeps his head tiped back all the way on his neck. He leans against something and props it backward. Like if you sat in your office chair and let your head fall back as far as it can go. What do I do?

oooh?? IDK??? I dont think I ve ever seen that. All though Ive seen alot of chicks hatch that move like rubber chickens and I leave them alone. Usually within the first 6 hours whatever it was-a much needed stretch or muscle movement has fixed itself as strength builds>> yes? IMO--I say just leave it and just watch it. I wouldnt do anything for it just yet-its still early

9/12 my cochin mixes 2 more pip
3/5 FLF Blue/Blk Ameraucanas (Black) 2 more pips
2/8 Chicken stalker possibel pure lave Ameraucanas 1 split, 1 LAV!!
7/9 sonew (one olive and 1 silkie are quiet)

The one with the neck problem has not improved. He can not control his head...see my earlier post for description. The rest of his body is strong but he spends a lot of time on his back.

When you guys talk about culling...what is that really. Do you "kill" them?

Yeah!!!!!!! I am so happy all the lil ones coming out for every one!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPEE!!!! I even have 4 new fuzzy butts as of 7pm. 2 more yet to pip. Still early in lockdown. They have until Monday night then I have to get ready for next set to go in. I had 14 of the first 16 hatch last weekend. And 17 +3 from Ideal! I am so eggcited!
