What are you going to use it on?
A wound, itchy skin????

I would use it on unbroken skin or something like a prolapse.
I have a quail who won't stop scratching her head. She had gotten scalped recently and though it's healing up, her incessant scratching keeps tearing open new holes.
I've been using veterycin to keep the wound clean but so far no dice on the itching dilemma.

Veterycin is good, but it's not really that moisturizing. Try something like Neosporin if the wound is not scabbed over very well.
Vaseline or Hen Healer may be more suitable if the wound is scabbed or if you have it Arnica cream. I've used any of these with scabbed over injuries to help reduce scratching and soften a scab.

If you have photos you wish to share that would be good too.
