That HUGE comb says BOY all day long .... none of my girls even come close to a comb that size ... How old is he?? I can not believe they are trying to pass it off as a "large girl"!!! Also vent sexing is usually done on say old chicks and they do not vent sex bantams as it is too dangerous...
I would say hen .... How old ??? I know partridge have gender specific coloring..... I'm never sure what the pattern is per gender but I'm sure someone will weigh in ...
I do have 1 partridge blue but her brown is hard to see ... She crowed just before she started laying! Also my scrappiest...
I have a hen who crows from time to time and yes they do sound a bit different then boys... My scrappy littlest white silkie has also crowded a few times and NO she is not at the top of the pecking order .... Just SASSY!!!
I say GIRL .... Look at the difference in stance b/w your obvious boy and "unknown" Also the comb is small and pouf is round.... My Lavender silkie girl did not start laying until she was 1 year old!! but most of my others started laying around 6-7 months.
Yes Wookie is a BOY Look at that big bright red comb & wattles! As for Nugget I'm not convinced that's a he ... Can not see the comb in your pictures... Can you post a few more straight on face shots???
